"Bad Love" is Dehd at their most visceral and unguarded. The tempo is faster than their usual amble, and the guitar has a brittle, almost nervous energy — single-note runs that feel like they might unravel. Jason Balla's voice appears here as a foil or echo to Kempf's, and the interplay between them gives the song a relational weight, a sense of two perspectives circling the same difficult fact.
