What IU does in "People Pt.2" is something quietly remarkable: she turns introspection into dialogue. The original "People" was a solo meditation on the distances between human beings — how we brush past one another, affect one another briefly, and vanish. This version brings BTS's V into that space, and his presence transforms the song's architecture entirely. His baritone is warm and unhurried, a counterweight to IU's more delicate, almost reticent delivery, and together they create something that feels like two people sitting with a shared melancholy rather than each sitting alone with it. The production is deliberately sparse — piano as the primary structural element, soft strings that arrive and dissolve, very little interference between the voices and the listener.
