Where Tartarus pounds and grinds, Elysium shimmers with a cruel kind of beauty. The strings enter with a grandeur that almost feels congratulatory, almost feels warm, but there is something underneath the brightness that refuses to resolve — a harmonic tension that keeps the triumph from ever feeling complete. Korb layers orchestral swells with electric elements that shouldn't belong in a classical arrangement but somehow fit, creating a sound that is heroic and hollow in equal measure.
