Interpretation

Dominó crackles with restless urban energy — guitars that chop and interlock, a rhythm section that leans forward on every beat, and a production sheen that captures the nervous excitement of cities in the late 1990s. This is Cerati at his most kinetic and stylistically adventurous, bridging post-punk angularity with Latin groove without the seam showing. His voice sharpens here, cutting rather than floating, carrying a flirtatious aggression — playful but with an edge, like someone who knows they're winning an argument and enjoys it. The song is built around the chain-reaction metaphor: actions cascading into consequences, desire triggering desire, the interlocking logic of how one thing topples the next. Emotionally it's charged and a little dangerous, the feeling of being caught in something larger than yourself that you also caused. It came from *Bocanada* (1999), his masterwork of scope and ambition, where he was synthesizing everything he'd learned from Soda Stereo's decade and pushing further into global textures. This is music for the moment before something irreversible happens — a going-out song, a driving-fast song, the one that comes on when the night is still deciding what it wants to become.
