Where "Terminator" destroys, "Darkrider" haunts. The breakbeats here are equally fractured and hard, but there's a cinematic quality to the atmosphere that suggests narrative rather than pure force — as though this music is the score to a journey through an urban landscape that has been abandoned and reclaimed by something inhuman. Rufige Cru builds the track around a repeating motif that functions almost like a melody but refuses to resolve, circling back on itself with a menace that feels deliberate and patient.
