"Noir" is Sunmi's most cinematic experiment from this period — a brooding, slow-burn duet (with Lim Chang-jung) that leans into the aesthetics of black-and-white melodrama. There is real darkness here, not the performative edginess of much idol fare, but something that genuinely aches. The contrast between the two vocalists — Sunmi's controlled, slightly distant delivery against a more emotionally raw male counterpart — creates a push-pull tension that mirrors the lyrical content: two people bound together in mutual destruction, fully aware of what they're doing and unable to stop. The song borrows from the visual language of Korean noir film — smoky rooms, rain-slicked streets, love as catastrophe.
