The Marías traffic in slow-burning haze, and "Ruthless" is one of their most intoxicating concoctions. The production wraps around you like smoke — reverb-drenched electric guitar lines drift through a languid rhythm section while layered harmonies create a sensation closer to immersion than listening. María Zardoya's voice is the defining instrument: low, sensual, and strangely detached, as if she's narrating desire from somewhere slightly outside her own body. The tempo never rushes; the song luxuriates in its own warmth the way heat rises off asphalt.
