"Runaway" hits with more urgency than much of iKON's catalog — the production is driven, with propulsive percussion and a sonic palette that creates genuine kinetic energy. The theme of escape runs through both the music and lyrics, the desire to shed circumstances or versions of oneself that have become constraining. Bobby's delivery has particular fire here, matching the production's momentum with verbal intensity. The chorus breaks open into something expansive, as if the running has finally found open space. It functions equally as catharsis and motivation, best experienced at volume.
