"외톨이야 (I'm a Loner)" by CN Blue arrived in 2010 as a genuinely disruptive thing within Korean idol pop — a band that actually played their instruments, producing a track where you could hear real guitar tones, a live drum kit, and the slightly rough edges of rock performance translated through idol production values. The guitars carry the song's melodic core, bright and jangly without being soft, with a forward momentum that feels earned rather than programmed.
