"로맨틱" arrives with a warmth that feels almost ironic given its subject matter — Nerd Connection wrap a complicated emotional reckoning in the gentlest possible sonic clothes. Fingerpicked guitar, soft keyboard pads, percussion that stays politely in the background: the production has the quality of candlelight, warm and slightly flickering. There's a self-awareness in the song's tone that separates it from straightforward love songs — the narrator seems to observe their own romantic impulse from a slight distance, half-charmed and half-suspicious of it.
