The song retells a passage from a traditional pansori narrative about a tiger descending a mountain, and the storytelling energy is kinetic — there's theatrical urgency in every phrase, as though the singers are simultaneously the narrator and every character in the scene. The collision between groove-heavy modern production and this ancient vocal form shouldn't work and yet is completely inevitable-sounding in retrospect.
