Advice is discomfort made beautiful, and it commits to that tension fully. The production is aggressive in its layering — heavy synthesizer textures that press against each other, a bassline with real mass, rhythmic elements that deliberately avoid the kind of smoothness that would make the song easy to occupy. Taemin's vocal approach here is among his most complex: detached in places, almost clinical, then suddenly intimate in a way that feels like a rupture of that controlled surface. The lyrical premise involves telling the truth to someone who has hurt you, but doing so from a position of hard-won self-possession rather than pain — advice delivered coldly, as though the emotional work has already been completed and what remains is simply statement. There is no pleading, no invitation to reconcile.
