Few Amapiano tracks achieved the kind of crossover momentum this one did without compromising the genre's essential character. The collaboration between Vigro Deep and Focalistic produced something that manages to be simultaneously precise and loose — the instrumental has that signature log drum heartbeat, but the melodies come in waves rather than the straight-line progressions of earlier Amapiano. Focalistic's vocal delivery is conversational and rhythmically elastic, slipping between bars with a cadence drawn from Pretoria slang and township inflection. The lyrical core is playful braggadocio filtered through a genuine love for the culture — this is not pop rap in Amapiano clothing but someone from inside the scene narrating what that scene feels like from within.
