Hologram begins with a sense of controlled urgency that never fully releases into chaos — NICO Touches the Walls build the track around a rhythmic momentum that feels almost mechanical in its precision before Kawabe's voice enters and makes the whole thing human again. The guitars here are more aggressive than in Broken Youth, working in counterpoint to create a texture that's dense without becoming claustrophobic. There's an almost mathematical quality to the arrangement, which suits the Fullmetal Alchemist world perfectly — a universe governed by the terrible logic of equivalent exchange. The vocal performance is arguably Kawabe at his most committed, stretching syllables in ways that feel both emotionally raw and technically deliberate. The lyrics engage with cycles and transformation, the painful alchemy of becoming something different than what you were.
