The title is not ironic — Tubby is staking territory here, laying out the principles of his sonic grammar in nine or so minutes of deeply deliberate rhythmic displacement. The kick drum sits in the chest like a slow heartbeat, and around it, melodica phrases drift in and dissolve before completing their thought. This is dub as argument: that rhythm can carry meaning without lyric, that silence structured correctly is its own form of speech. The production feels political in its restraint — no excess, nothing decorative, only the essential skeleton of the riddim with echo and reverb used as punctuation rather than ornamentation. The track carries a distinctly ceremonial weight, as though Tubby understood that what he was doing mattered beyond genre.
