认真的雪 [古装剧]
薛之谦
"认真的雪" is Joker Xue's (Xue Zhiqian) signature heartbreak ballad — his 2006 debut hit that made his name — and this 古装剧 ("costume drama") version recasts it with the period-drama palette: classical Chinese instrumentation, guzheng and strings, a more cinematic, traditional arrangement wrapped around the same melody of devastation. The title, "The Earnest Snow" or "Snow That Means It," is the central image: snow that falls seriously, completely, the way grief settles over everything after a love ends. Xue is a master of the Mandopop suffering ballad, and his vocal here is the genre's defining move — restrained verses that swell into a high, cracking, almost desperate chorus where the voice strains at its ceiling, performing the loss rather than merely describing it. The lyric is total emotional surrender: a man whose world has gone white and silent, who measures his sincerity by how much the parting has destroyed him. The costume-drama framing lends it a timeless, almost mythic register, as though this particular heartbreak has been happening for a thousand years. Enormously popular at KTV rooms where amateurs test themselves against that punishing chorus, it's music for wallowing — for the night you let yourself feel the whole weight of someone leaving, with the snow falling outside or only in your head.
