Brief and self-contained as a joke told in an elevator, this track operates in Thundercat's most playful register — the one where the bass playing is genuinely extraordinary but the context is designed to make you question whether to laugh or be impressed, and then you realize the correct answer is both. The production is dense in the way of someone who has been awake too long: layers of keyboard, the bass doing things it has no business doing in a song this deliberately slight, vocal harmonies that arrive and depart before you can fully register them.
