Vocals cycle through perspectives, multiple voices contributing to a texture that deliberately avoids a single authoritative viewpoint — the track structurally embodies its own subject matter. The low-end design is particularly considered, with sub-bass frequencies that feel ceremonial, almost ancestral, rooting the contemporary sound in something deeper than any single genre's history. There are moments of considerable beauty between the heavier passages — pads suggesting sunrise and collective relief, before the drums reassemble and intensity returns with renewed purpose. As a cultural document, "Tribe" maps the UK bass scene's relationship with its diaspora influences more explicitly than perhaps any previous Chase & Status work, insisting these connections be named rather than merely felt.
