"Domino Line" deploys Casiopea's technical resources toward a different emotional end than their more celebratory work — this is precision music that carries an undertow of tension, each note placed with the awareness that removing it would cause collapse. The title's metaphor is apt: the band constructs a rhythmic edifice where every element depends on the previous one's exact placement, and the pleasure of the listening experience derives partly from that awareness of interlocking dependency. Issei Noro's guitar playing here operates in a more angular mode, favoring intervallic leaps over flowing melodic lines, while Minoru Mukaiya's keyboards provide harmonic context that keeps reframing what the guitar has just said. Jimbo's drumming is the thread the whole structure follows — never flashy for its own sake, always serving the architecture. The production values are clean to the point of clinical, every sound separated in the mix with Japanese studio perfectionism.
