오늘따라
김범수
"오늘따라" ("Especially Today") is preoccupied with the peculiar intensification of longing on ordinary days — not anniversaries or landmarks, but unremarkable days when absence is felt with unusual acuity. The production captures this quality of undifferentiated days turning suddenly unbearable: the arrangement doesn't announce its emotional arrival with dramatic buildup but instead permits the feeling to accumulate almost accidentally. Bum-soo's voice has a wondering quality, the narrator puzzled by his own current state — why today, what makes this Tuesday particularly impossible? The melody carries a slight restlessness, harmonic movement that doesn't quite settle. Lyrically, the specificity of "today" over "always" is the song's most sophisticated choice: missing someone every day is expected, but missing someone especially today captures the random emotional ambushes that grief delivers. Best for exactly those days, the ones with no particular reason to feel it this acutely but there it is nonetheless.
