"Easy" from Tycho's *Weather* is Scott Hansen's project in its most exposed configuration — the instrumental ambient-electronic palette he built his name on, opened up to accommodate an actual singer. Hannah Cottrell's vocal floats over the arrangement rather than fronting it, processed just enough to stay part of the weather system, and the effect divides listeners along a real fault line: some hear evolution, some hear the loss of the wordless openness that made the earlier records into mirrors.
