Nala Sinephro's "Space 7" is the long exhale that closes *Space 1.8*, and it works less like a composition than like weather passing through a room. The Caribbean-Belgian harpist and modular-synth player builds from a bed of pedal harp — plucked figures that ripple rather than resolve — surrounded by analog synthesis that she treats as an ambient medium rather than a lead voice, with electronics and acoustic sources blurred until you stop asking which is which. Saxophone and drums drift in from London's post-Sons of Kemet jazz scene (the record draws on players from that orbit), but nobody solos in the declarative sense; phrases enter, hover, and dissolve. There's no vocal and no lyric, which shifts all the meaning onto texture: the emotional landscape is one of suspended, unanxious openness, closer to healing-practice music than to jazz's usual argumentative energy. Sinephro has spoken about sound as a physiological tool, and the track is paced accordingly — nearly eighteen minutes of unhurried release on some pressings. Made for horizontal listening: lying on the floor with the lights off, working late with nothing that needs decisions, or the hour after everyone else has gone to bed.
