Sinephro plays harp through synthesizer processing on her debut album, and this track exemplifies what makes that combination so distinctive: the harp's natural resonance and sustain become raw material for electronic transformation, the two modes of sound production not layered on top of each other but genuinely merged into something that doesn't sound exactly like either. The jazz influence — Sinephro trained formally and performed in experimental jazz contexts — surfaces in the rhythmic flexibility, a loose sense of pulse that breathes rather than driving. The piece is contemplative in the tradition of ECM Records' most meditative releases while incorporating electronic textures and processing aesthetics from ambient and drone traditions.
