Onizuka

Named after the irrepressible delinquent-turned-teacher from the beloved manga "Great Teacher Onizuka," PNL's track channels its namesake's reckless energy and anti-establishment spirit. Compared to much of their catalog, "Onizuka" has a more propulsive, confrontational edge — the production features sharper percussion cuts and a more aggressive low-end architecture, pushing the beat forward rather than suspending it in drift. Ademo and N.O.S trade verses with elevated intensity, their voices still filtered through autotune but carrying a defiant swagger that feels almost celebratory in its rebellion. The manga reference isn't incidental: Onizuka's ethos — survival through chaos, loyalty through unconventional means, refusing to be diminished by institutions — maps directly onto PNL's biography from Corbeil-Essonnes. Lyrically there are themes of street prowess, of those who tried to hold them back now watching their ascent. The bass pattern has a hypnotic roll to it, and the synth arrangement carries enough emotional weight to keep the track in PNL's characteristically atmospheric space even as it pushes harder than their more sedated output.
