The term itself refers to the orbital point farthest from the sun, and the track interprets this astronomically with genuine compositional care: the emotional arc genuinely feels like distance, like the specific cold of deep space where the familiar star has shrunk to one light among many. Klayton's vocal performance is one of the most technically accomplished in the genre, carrying both melodic range and a certain stoic vulnerability, the voice of someone who has understood something difficult and accepted it without fully resolving it.
