The textural environment built across the track's runtime suggests both the intimacy of a bedroom studio and the scale of an imagined future architecture. Haley's aesthetic runs counter to the era's tendencies toward maximalism and acceleration — "Iteration" insists on its own pace, on the listener arriving at its frequencies rather than being pulled there.
