"Can't You See Me?" is TXT's first real rupture — the moment the dream chapter curdles. The production is aggressive and deliberately unstable: a nervous, detuned synth riff, a distorted bass that keeps threatening the mix, and a structure that jerks between a taut verse, a chanted pre-chorus, and a chorus that sounds more like an accusation than a hook. The emotional landscape is friendship betrayal rendered apocalyptic — the world burns down and the narrator's only concern is that the person in front of him is smiling and won't look at him. That grotesque mismatch between disaster and denial is the whole song. Vocally the group abandons the softness of their debut: Taehyun's belt turns strained, Yeonjun and Hueningkai push into rasp, and the desperate repeated title line is delivered with real ugliness, which is exactly right. Beomgyu's screamed ad-libs in the outro are the least polished thing they'd recorded. Culturally, it marked HYBE's willingness to let a young group make genuinely uncomfortable music, and it seeded the darker "Chaos" chapter to come.
