"LAST PIECE" is the sound of a group singing the end of something while insisting it isn't one. Released in December 2020, months before GOT7's departure from JYP, the title track of *Breath of Love* is built on a soaring, almost anthemic chord progression, four-on-the-floor drive in the chorus underneath a bright synth arpeggio, with the verses stripped to piano and a pulsing low end. The dynamic architecture is unabashedly emotional — pre-chorus lifts, a final key-adjacent surge, the whole apparatus of catharsis deployed without irony. Vocally it's the fullest ensemble showing on record: every member gets a distinct color, the high notes are held rather than clipped, and the harmony stack in the last chorus feels like seven people deliberately standing in one place together. The lyric is about the person who completes a picture you didn't know was incomplete, but in context every listener heard it as a message to the fandom about staying whole through separation. That double reading is why it endures. It's a song for a crowd with their hands up, or alternatively for one person alone reading a goodbye letter they've decided to interpret as a promise.
