"NOT BY THE MOON" borrows its title from Juliet's warning against swearing by an inconstant moon, and the production makes good on that literary framing with unusual elegance. The track opens on a plucked, almost orchestral string motif before dropping into a lush house-adjacent groove — a steady four-on-the-floor, glossy synth stabs, and a bassline with real movement, all mixed with a warm analog sheen rather than the brittle brightness typical of 2020 K-pop. The chorus resolves into melody instead of a beat-drop, a choice that reads as confidence.
