The production is retro-soul revivalism executed with obsessive care: warm live drums with a slightly loose pocket, Rhodes and organ layered under acoustic guitar, strings arranged in the lush Philadelphia-soul manner, everything mixed with the tape-saturated haze Naul curates as a producer. Against that, his voice — a light, agile tenor capable of enormous sustained power — traces melismatic runs that never feel like showing off because they're always following the melody's grief. The title, roughly "memory of wind," names its own subject: love as something that has already passed through and left only the sensation of having been touched. The lyrics are impressionistic rather than narrative, built from weather and absence, and the famous ascending final chorus, where he climbs and holds an impossible note, functions as the emotional argument the words refuse to make. Coming from Brown Eyed Soul's frontman on his first proper solo album, it consolidated his reputation as Korea's most serious soul purist. It's the standard against which amateur singers humiliate themselves, and a song for long night drives when you want the ache to be beautiful rather than raw.
