My Zone (마이 존) (2017)
Block B
"My Zone (마이 존)" is an exercise in unapologetic self-definition — a track built around the concept of personal space that no one can violate. The production is distinctly late-2010s K-hip-hop: dense layering, an undercurrent of trap influence filtered through a more melodic structure, with the bass sitting heavy in the mix. Zico and P.O command the rap sections with contrasting textures, Zico's precision against P.O's raw depth. The vocal portions give the song breadth without softening it. Emotionally this is one of their most internally focused records — less about responding to the outside world and more about asserting the right to exist on one's own terms. The lyrics map a psychological territory that belongs entirely to the speaker, a kind of artistic sovereignty statement. It would soundtrack the moment before you step into something important alone — a performance, a confrontation, a decision you've been working toward for months.
