Velonica

There's a compressed urgency to the opening guitar riff — tight, slightly overdriven, carrying the restless energy of someone who needs to say something before time runs out. Aqua Timez built their sound around that tension between rock propulsion and melodic sweetness, and Velonica sits at the peak of that balance. The rhythm section locks in hard while the lead guitar traces something almost wistful above it, the two impulses never fully resolving. Vocalist Futoshi's delivery is distinctly his own — a roughened mid-range that softens unpredictably on sustained notes, suggesting emotion held back rather than released.
