Bermuda Triangle

"BERMUDA TRIANGLE" is a flex record with a very specific architecture: three artists as three points, and everything that enters gets swallowed. The production is menacing and spacious — a sparse, trap-informed beat with heavy, slow 808 slides, ticking hi-hats, and long silences that let each voice hang exposed. ZICO's verse is coiled and percussive, all hard consonant attack. Crush brings his liquid, soulful mid-range, gliding across the bars with a smoothness that makes the boasting sound like seduction. DEAN closes with that signature blurred, melancholic croon, half-sung and half-slurred, which pulls the whole track somewhere darker and stranger than a straight brag would go. The lyric essence is confident and slightly ominous: they are the vanishing point, the place careers and rivals disappear, a self-mythologizing that the title does most of the work for. Released in 2016, it functioned as a summit meeting of the three most stylistically influential figures in Korean urban music at that moment, and it still reads as a snapshot of that scene at its peak of confidence.
